Viv was appointed to the position of CIO in 2021 and is responsible for leading the technology/business transformation program at Elders – a multiyear change program that will see the introduction of modern technologies to simplify and enhance interactions with our customer base through traditional and digital channels.
In addition to his CIO remit, Thomas Elder Institute (TEI) and Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC) also report into Viv.
With the emergence of the ag-tech space, there are many implications and opportunities for Elders and our customers.
Moving the TEI and TEC services into the CIO portfolio allows us to take a broader view of this space and incorporate viable opportunities into our technology roadmap.
Viv’s 30 years of experience includes senior leadership positions in Australia, Asia and Europe, predominantly in the retail sector with the AS Watson Group, Tesco, KPMG and Dairy Farm International. More recently Viv spent four years running the technology and digital functions for Caltex Australia, based out of Sydney.
