The Elders Livestock (Stock and Station) Career Development Program is an 18-month entry level program specifically designed by our in-house livestock leaders to launch your career in the livestock industry, furthering your learning about livestock sales and marketing, as well as production and animal health.
As a part of the Livestock (Stock and Station) Career Development Program, you’ll have the opportunity to work on real jobs in both saleyard and branch environments, being mentored and guided by our experienced employees and leaders, learning effective selling and relationship building techniques.
The program runs for 18 months, beginning in late January each year. You will undergo two to three personalised rotations between our branches. These rotations are designed to provide you greater exposure to the business and give you the opportunity to grow your skills across different conditions and teams. We are therefore looking for people who are willing to relocate throughout our network, across Australia.
As the next generation of livestock sales agents, you’ll receive hands-on training, allowing you to apply your learnings to real jobs and to make real contributions. In addition to the guidance you’ll receive from your Branch Manager, you’ll also be assigned a mentor who will support you throughout the program, providing additional coaching and advice. You’ll be given the tools, training, and experience to succeed in your career, whilst making a difference to Australia’s rural communities.
You will gain a broad understanding of Elders and the agricultural industry, and upon completion of the program, you’ll have all the skills and knowledge necessary to move into a permanent role with us.
