The Sydney Royal Easter Show will return this year after another bumper year in 2023 saw 880,000 people attend the show over the 12 days.
Occurring this year between Friday 22 March and Tuesday 2 April, the iconic red cattle arena and the Elders Beef Cattle Show are also back for 2024, with Elders NSW continuing their Hordern Perpetual Trophy and Sydney Royal Beef Cattle Arena sponsorship in the state’s signature livestock event.
The NSW Livestock Team are excited for what should be another busy few days with their cattle clients in the lead up to BEEF24 in Rockhampton.
As always, the Elders Beef Cattle Show is preceded by the ALPA NSW Young Auctioneers Finals and the national competition. Last year’s event saw Gundagai agent Harry Waters take out the national title; an outstanding achievement.
In 2024, Elders will have three livestock agents competing in the ALPA events, with Harry Cozens from Albury and Justin Oakenfull from Inverell taking part in the national final, and Jacob Kerrisk from Wagga Wagga appearing in the NSW competition.
Elders NSW Stud Stock’s own Florance McGufficke will also be busy at the show this year, having won the 2023 Young Show Woman of the Year award in 2023. Florance will this year be responsible for judging the Young Show Woman award, which runs for an entire week, and will also will play a pivotal role in assisting this year’s aspiring hopefuls.
Florance said she looks forward to the Easter Show every year.
