Last night, the Winton community gathered to celebrate Elders’ investment in a brand new Winton branch location.

The team was proud to officially open the brand new branch last night, with community members and Elders staff from across Queensland gathering at the new branch for dinner.
In a nod to the branch’s 70-year history, Robyn Stephens was able to join the team to cut the cake at the opening event. Robyn, who has since retired, started with Elders Winton in 1985.
In the new location, the branch will be able to expand its offering of rural products, with enhanced truck access and greater storage ability.
Elders Central Queensland Area Manager Richard Bright said he was so proud to see the community come together to celebrate.
“This is a big commitment from Elders to be investing in regional towns, especially smaller towns like Winton, and showing our support for our customer base in regional Queensland,” he said.
“The branch at Winton offers Elders’ full suite of services, with the main ones being our retail business, and our livestock business, along with finance, insurance, real estate, and more.
“We have a great team of three facilitating this at the branch.”
The team is made up of Sales Support Officer Linda Young, Rural Products Sales Representative Sophie Banning, and Mavryn Remfrey, who is managing the livestock business.
Elders was delighted that Winton’s Mayor, Gavin Baskett, was also able to be present for the branch opening, officially cutting the ribbon on the night.
“Thank you to Elders for making this happen, and investing in our local community, and for continuing to create opportunities for local employment,” Mayor Baskett said.
“It is great to see new buildings go up in town, especially buildings of this size. It just shows economic growth and is fantastic for our economic development. So thank you very much to Elders for that.”
This comes after Elders Wandoan moved into its brand new location in southwest Queensland last year and ahead of a new Elders branch opening in Mackay later this year.
