Elders is proud to announce the opening of a new point of presence in Cloncurry, strengthening its commitment to supporting rural communities across North West Queensland.

The expansion comes as Territory Sales Manager Sam Ritchie joins the Elders team bringing deep regional knowledge and strong community ties to the role.
Strategically located at the intersection of two major freight routes, Cloncurry serves as a vital logistics and service hub for the Gulf region and surrounding pastoral districts.
For pastoralists in and around Cloncurry, the new Elders branch will provide direct access to livestock marketing, rural finance, and rural merchandise. This means having a reliable, face-to-face option for key aspects of business operations.
“Cloncurry is a natural fit for Elders,” said Mr Ritchie.
“It’s a community with a rich pastoral heritage and a strong future."
"By establishing a local presence, we’re making it easier for producers to access the services and support they need to thrive.”
The Cloncurry branch will operate as a satellite location, backed by the experienced teams in Mount Isa and Julia Creek. This collaborative model ensures clients receive the same high standard of service Elders is known for, with the added benefit of local accessibility.
“Isolation is one of the biggest challenges for producers in Western Queensland,” Ritchie added.
“Having a local branch means reduced travel time, lower freight costs, and faster access to markets—especially critical in livestock marketing where timing is everything.”
In addition to core services, the Cloncurry branch will contribute to Elders’ broader focus on innovation in agriculture, including research and development in beef production and the application of emerging technologies in northern farming systems.
Elders’ expansion into Cloncurry reflects its ongoing investment in regional Australia and its mission to support producers in building sustainable, competitive, and resilient businesses.
