With support from the Future Drought Fund, Farmers2Founders is delivering the TEKFARM program across Australia.
The project is designed to connect primary producers to national technology solutions that can help build drought resilience and deliver genuine benefit on-farm.
Elders, through their research and innovation arm Thomas Elder Sustainable Agriculture (TESA), are guiding participating primary producers through the adoption of agtech solutions that help to enhance drought resilience. This is done through one-on-one consultations and agronomic support.
Drones for dry times
Using drones to muster cattle was one of the many tech innovations on display at a recent TEKFARM workshop held in Cobar NSW. Livestock producer Ethan Manns shared how he had adopted a DJI Matrice 30T drone through the TEKFARM™ program to improve drought resilience.
Participants watched the many efficient uses of drones for their properties and also learned about Carbon Farming and practical ways tech can improve their operations.
