Elders is pleased to partner with LambEx26, the world’s flagship sheep, lamb and wool conference.
Elders is delighted to be the major sponsor of the Grandslamb Gala Dinner, one of the hallmark events of the conference. The dinner will bring attendees together at the end of the conference to connect and recognise contributions across the sheep and wool supply chain.
Beyond the Gala Dinner, Elders staff and clients are well represented throughout the LambEx26 program, reflecting the depth of expertise across the network and the important role Elders plays across the sheep and wool industry.
Elders Jamestown branch manager and district wool manager Tim Shepherd will share the stage Vicky Alexandrou from Woven Optics in a joint presentation. Together they will explore how emerging technology can support decision-making across the wool industry.
“The discussion will focus on work we’ve done to understand how the Woven Optics unit might be beneficial for wool growers and wool brokers alike, particularly when it comes to making decisions about their wool clip,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to being involved in an event like LambEx; it’s always good to listen to people who are researching at the forefront of new technologies and ideas, and it’s also a great opportunity to speak to them directly and build relationships.”
Elders client and producer in southwest Victoria, Katherine Bain, is also contributing to the program. Katherine will join the ‘Weaving Futures’ breakfast session alongside Elders district wool manager Stephanie Brooker-Jones. The session will explore the wool supply chain and its future, bringing together insights from across production, brokerage and buying to provide a full view of the industry.
“I’m really looking forward to getting into what we can do to really drive value for wool production into the future. I won’t give too much away, but the discussions will centre around the challenges and opportunities we have to work with in our wool supply chain,” Katherine said.
“I am also looking forward to attending LambEx; I enjoy learning about what everyone else is doing to improve their operations, whether through technology, infrastructure or genetics.
“There’s so much to learn coming to these events that even if you only take home one or two things you’ll be improving your farm.”
With just five weeks remaining until LambEx26, producers and industry participants are encouraged to secure their registration and be part of Australia's premier sheep, lamb and wool industry event.
LambEx will be held from 7 to 10 July at the Adelaide Convention Centre. You can book tickets through the LambEx website.
