Elders team gears up for Run Melbourne

After the resounding success of last year's Melbourne Marathon, the Elders community is ready to lace up their running shoes once again for Run Melbourne 2024.

This year, Elders has 50 staff members, family, and friends participating in the event, raising funds for This Is A Conversation Starter (TIACS), a charity providing mental health support for blue-collar workers.

Elders State General Manager Vic/Riv Brendan Rinaldi said he is proud to see the team come together for the second year in support of mental health initiatives.

"Participating in Run Melbourne is a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together, challenge ourselves, and support a cause that's incredibly important to us,” Brendan said.

Mental health is a critical issue, especially in rural and regional communities where we live and work, and TIACS is doing amazing work to provide support where it's needed most.

"Last year's Melbourne Marathon was an incredible experience. We were able to raise over $26,000 for LifeChanger Foundation which is another organisation focused on wellbeing, particularly for teenagers, so we wanted to build on that momentum.

“We're thrilled to have such a strong turnout from Elders staff, their families, and friends. We have participants coming from all over Victoria and New Saouth Wales. It really shows the strength of our community and our commitment to making a positive impact."

Elders' participation in Run Melbourne 2024 is a testament to the company's dedication to health, wellness, and community support. As the team prepares for race day, their collective efforts are focused on raising awareness and funds for TIACS, ensuring that those in need have access to vital mental health resources.

The team continue to have great support from their team sponsors, Virbac, BASF, EPG Seeds, Barenbrug and The Weekly Times; all businesses that sponsored the team in 2023 and have continued to do so in 2024.
