An expert speaker series and breakfast networking event will be among the offerings from Elders at Queensland’s largest agricultural showcase.

Last-minute preparations are underway for Elders FarmFest, which will be held from 4 to 6 June. Held at Kingsthorpe in the heart of the Darling Downs, Queensland, the event displays and promotes the latest products from big farm machinery, tractors and tillage, to irrigation equipment, rural merchandise, tools and the latest in ag tech.
Elders is again set to bring producers a wide range of events and activities as the naming rights sponsor, and this year, the Elders team is set to make the event bigger and better than ever before, adding a range of new offerings for attendees.
Across the three days, Elders is bringing producers ‘Farming Forward’, an expert speaker series, in which specialists across the spectrum of agriculture will share insights into the latest trends, technologies and best practices for producers.
On Tuesday, attendees can hear from Ian Loeskow from Sunfam on the impact of irrigation technology. Day 2 will feature Elders’ own livestock production advisor Todd Donaldson, speaking on market ready beef. Finally, on the Thursday, ACM will host a ‘Pitch to Paddock’ ag tech competition.
All of the sessions are free to attend, and will be held in the Elders tent at 11am each day.
On the Wednesday, an additional event will see Elders host a breakfast in partnership with Humans of Agriculture, in which Oli Le Lievre will facilitate a panel session with third generation farmer Mark Porter, fifth generation farmer Tom Coggan and Elders technical services manager Maree Crawford. Visit the Elders tent at 7:30am for a morning of networking with peers and industry leaders, and the opportunity to uncover pathways for success in agriculture. Tickets for the next gen breakfast event are $25 each and include breakfast and single day entry to FarmFest.
State General Manager Qld/NT Lisa Hewitt said Elders has been committed to delivering value to agricultural communities for 185 years, and these new offerings are no exception.
“We will continue to lead the way towards a more sustainable and prosperous future for Australia’s producers. Meaningful industry partnerships are central to these goals, which is why Elders is proud to continue our valued partnership with FarmFest for another three years,” Lisa said.
“As Queensland’s largest and most successful annual field day event, Elders FarmFest remains a key event on the agriculture calendar. It’s an opportunity to feature the latest products and services, catch up with clients, and to support the future of many primary industries. We look forward to hosting you at the prominent big red Elders tent at Elders FarmFest in 2024.”
The ever popular Elders tent will be returning with all the usual offerings, playing host to the latest in industry innovations for farmers from across the region. There will also be exclusive deals from our event partners, and specialists across fields including commercial livestock, grain, seed, insurance and real estate.
