Elders has proudly contributed to Movember initiatives across the country.

Throughout the month of November, teams across Elders have undertaken dual missions of fundraising and walking in support of the Movember Foundation, a cause dedicated to raising awareness for men's mental and physical health, including testicular and prostate cancer.
In New South Wales, rural products sales representatives Chasten Kaiser and Michael Lamph, from the Glen Innes branch collectively walked an impressive 120 kilometres.
Michael emphasised the importance of the cause, and why checking in on family and friends, particularly during seasonal downturns, is so critical in regional communities.
“Throughout late spring we experienced a steep market downturn,” Michael said.
“We’re fortunate that we’ve seen a turnaround with rain in November. However, we urge our people to continue to check in with their clients, families and mates.”
Other members of the Glen Innes team grew their best moustaches for the cause. These commendable efforts were celebrated with a closing barbeque on the final day of November. This final push resulted in additional funds, allowing them to surpass their initial goal of $5,000.
Individual contributions showcased the team's dedication, with Elders territory sales manager Nash Tome raising an outstanding $1,890.
Zoetis representative Kurt Parker also got involved, not only participating but generously donating an Engel fridge for the fundraiser, all while growing a very impressive moustache.
Glen Innes branch manager Carl Hooton commended the team's initiative and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received from clients and the Glen Innes community.
"While the focus has been on awareness for our clients and the greater community, we must remember to continue to support the Elders network through the highs and lows as mental health is a highly prevalent issue within our industry," Carl said.

Further north in Queensland and the Northern Territory, the joint Elders QLD/NT team also actively participated in the Movember initiative, raising an impressive $7,603.
Agronomist Tom White, based at Elders Katherine, led the team, contributing the second-highest single donation of $1,015. Fellow agronomist Jordan McDonald, based in Dalby, raised the highest amount in the team, reaching a total of $1,825.
In South Australia, district wool manager Tim Shepherd also got involved for the second year in a row, raising over $500. Tim said he is proud to raise awareness of men’s mental health, explaining that if he even triggers one conversation, that is a success.
“In particular, living and working in rural and remote areas, access to help may be harder to come by, so being able to start a conversation and just lend a listening ear may just help someone through tough periods,” Tim said.

“We never know what people are really going through. Every donation helps to reach out to these people and provide the assistance they need.”
Congratulations to the Elders network for advocating for men's health within your communities and surpassing fundraising goals.
