The winners of the Ford Ranger Raptor as part of the recent Prepare to Win promotion have had their prize delivered.
Murray and Annette Thomas, along with Murray’s father Ian were delighted to take a short break from spraying to receive the keys to their new vehicle last week.
The family runs a cropping enterprise just out of Mingenew in Western Australia’s mid west. Murray and Annette are long-standing clients of the local Mingenew branch, and source the majority of their inputs from Elders each year.
Murray said he was ecstatic to receive the vehicle, and is grateful to Elders for the new set of wheels.
“We were in disbelief at the start, but we feel very excited, and very lucky to have won,” he said.
Mingenew Branch Manager Jarrad Kupsch said the Thomas family are very worthy recipients of the brand-new Raptor.
“Murray and Annette Thomas are long-standing clients of Elders and it was fantastic hearing they were the winners,” he said.
“I couldn’t jump in the ute quick enough to be able to congratulate them with their four-wheeled prize.”
The Prepare to Win campaign was held earlier this year to encourage growers to be prepared for the season ahead. To receive an entry, growers needed to purchase $20,000 of crop protection products throughout February and March.
200 other lucky winners received an Agbot tank monitoring system as part of the promotion.
A number of our supplier partners made the promotion possible, including Adama, AgNova, BASF, Bayer Crop Science, Corteva Agriscience, DKSH, FMC, Kelpie Crop Protection, Nufarm, Sumitomo Chemical, Syngenta, Titan AG, UPL and VicChem.
Jarrad explained the campaign was positively received by both the branch and clients.
“It gave us a talking point with our clients and point of difference from our competitors,” he said.
“Our branch staff were excited to be able to promote crop protection with the incentive, rewarding their clients in a unique way.”
