Rex Bennett

Rex commenced with Elders in 2004 and is a District Wool Manager based at Elders Wangaratta.  He supports wool producers across north-east Victoria and the Southern Riverina, including the Albury, Euroa, Holbrook, Shepparton, Yarrawonga, Yea, and Wangaratta regions.

Rex grew up on a wool-growing property and developed a strong interest in breeding Merino sheep. He now has over 25 years’ experience and knowledge in the wool industry - 20 of those with Elders. He is committed to helping clients adapt to industry changes, stay informed of innovations, and achieve sustainable, profitable outcomes.

Rex thrives on the relationships he builds with progressive clients and colleagues, enjoying the diversity of working in different locations each day. He is dedicated to helping clients breed fit-for-purpose sheep and supports them through every stage of production — from ram selection and flock management to clip preparation and wool marketing. His open and transparent approach ensures clients feel confident in the support he provides as their broker representative.

One of Rex’s most memorable experiences was working with a client selling their wool at auction for the first time. The client remarked that Rex had become an integral part of their business, from flock advice through to auction. This was a humbling and meaningful acknowledgment that continues to motivate him.

In his spare time Rex enjoys spending time with his partner and their two children and working on their own farm.
