Sales Support Officer

Abbey Burford

Abbey commenced with Elders in 2022 and is a Sales Support Officer at Elders Mortlake.

Abbey’s love and passion for the ag industry started at a very young age, working in her grandparents shearing shed, rousing for her uncles. At 14 she was working with her dad, driving, digging drains, dams and carting trees for local farmers.

After completing year 12, Abbey went to Deakin and studied a Bachelor of Commerce. During this time, she had three jobs, including doing admin at the Western Victoria Livestock Exchange (WVLX) Saleyards. This led to her job at Elders.

She took a one-year break, doing a season on a cattle station, 275km north of Charters Towers.

Since returning home and Elders, Abbey has completed my Auswide Banking Accreditation, allowing her to process clients bank accounts.

She loves the versatility of her role; being in the office one day, then out in the field at Prime, Store and Stud sales the next. She also loves that she continues to learn every day.

In her spare time, Abbey enjoys activities such as water skiing, camping, riding her horse, catching up with old friends and netball throughout the winter period.
