Hugh McShane

Hugh is horticultural agronomist at Elders Bairnsdale with a passion for sustainable agriculture and a love of the land. Originally from a sheep farm in Tasmania, Hugh has been learning the ins and outs of farming from an early age.

After completing a degree in Ag Science at the University of Tasmania, Hugh decided to make the move to the mainland, settling in Bairnsdale.

Proud to be part of the Elders Bairnsdale team, Hugh has developed a reputation as a knowledgeable and dedicated professional. He is always eager to help farmers improve their yields and adopt more sustainable farming practices, whether it be on a livestock farm or the vegetable river flats at Lindenow/Maffra.

In Hugh's spare time, you'll often find him out on the water, casting a line. He is also a keen footy fan, and loves playing for the Lindenow Cats or cheering on the mighty Sainters.
