Tom Penna

Tom is the Stud Stock Marketing Manager for South Australia (SA).  He is also an accredited Auctioneer.

Considered the veteran of the SA Stud Stock team, Tom began his career with Elders back in the 1970s.

During his first stint in Stud Stock team in the 1980s, he held the world record price, being the first auctioneer to sell over $100,000 and $200,000. Over his journey he has conducted more than 800 auctions, covering all types of livestock, clearing sales and even charity auctions.

Tom has been back wth the Stud Stock team for over 15 years. While he is keen to encourage younger auctioneers, he still sells mainly in the Mallee, Mid North and Yorke Peninsula on property ram sales.

Tom says that the stud stock industry is ever evolving, and it will be interesting to watch developments over the next decade, making an exciting journey for younger people looking to make their mark.
