Seasonal Outlook

The BOM released an updated outlook on 19 March. The full outlook can be viewed here but, in summary, the long-range forecast for April to June.

  • Rainfall is likely to be below average for most of Australia, and above average in far north Queensland.
  • Daytime temperatures are very likely to be above average across most of Australia but below avrage in parts of the tropical north.
  • Overnight temperatures are likely to likely to be above average for the west and east, but cooler in parts of the north-west.
