Elders appoints Matt Ericsson to State General Manager Western Australia

Matt Ericsson has been appointed to Elders State General Manager Western Australia.

Mr Ericsson, who is based in Albany, has been with Elders since 2002, and has held a number of roles across merchandise, branch management and area management. 

As State General Manager Western Australia, Mr Ericsson will be responsible for driving growth and efficiency outcomes throughout the state. 

Mr Ericsson is a proven leader within the Elders business, and has completed the Outback Initiatives Leadership Program, Australian Agribusiness Leadership Program, and Elders Senior Leaders Program. 

Executive General Manager Network Tom Russo said Mr Ericsson is well regarded for his exceptional work ethic and values.

“Matt is a trusted adviser to many primary producers in Western Australia and has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lay before them. He will bring a very customer centric and hands on approach to the role,”

The position was made vacant after immediate past General Manager Western Australia Nick Fazekas was appointed to Executive General Manager Rural Products. 

In this position, Mr Fazekas will be responsible for strengthening and expanding the Elders retail and rural products offering, overseeing supply chain, commercial management and category management functions. He will continue to be based in Perth.
