Buy From The Bush has a new home base in Dubbo, NSW, thanks to the support of Elders.
Identified as the “marketplace for Australian bush businesses” by founder Grace Brennan, Buy From The Bush began as an Instagram account showcasing beautiful products from communities facing drought.
It’s since grown quickly and, by June this year, had injected $5 million of sales revenue into Australia’s rural and regional communities.
“We’ve been looking for a larger space for some time now,” Ms Brennan said.
“It is no secret that the Christmas period is an important one for many small businesses and we want to make sure we can support that time as best we can from our Dubbo base.”
Recognising the impact Buy From The Bush has had on local communities, Elders is funding the new Buy From The Bush space at The Exchange, Dubbo.
“When we discussed the move to a new working space at The Exchange with the Elders team it was very exciting to have their backing,” Ms Brennan said.
“Elders have been a part of rural communities for generations. They share our goal to support sustainable business growth in those areas.”
Ms Brennan and her team have already begun settling into the new office in Dubbo, with activity rapidly growing in the lead up to a busy Christmas period.
Also working out of Dubbo is Elders NSW State General Manager, Ryan Robinson, who was able to visit the new space and see the impact a dedicated office has made on the Buy From The Bush movement.
“Supporting an initiative like Buy From The Bush was an clear choice for Elders,” Mr Robinson said.
“Our people not only live in rural areas, they are a genuine part of each community. To have seen the difference Buy From The Bush has made to those communities and the positive changes that have come about because of it, we were very pleased to be able to give back in this way.”
