National Carbon Farming Business Development Specialist

Chris Taarnby

Chris commenced with Elders in 2022 and is the National Carbon Farming Business Development Specialist with Thomas Elder Sustainable Agriculture (TESA). While based in Murray Bridge, his role takes him nationwide.

Chris has over 20 years' experience in senior leadership and customer relation roles, including mineral exploration, mining and manufacturing. Chris also has significant experience in senior management roles in agriculture (livestock production in SA and NT) and viticulture.

This experience has given him a solid understanding of the role of carbon farming in agriculture and how producers can best approach participation. 

Chris can assist with:

  • whole of farm enterprise carbon footprinting
  • feasability assessment of carbon farming projects under ERF standards
  • ACCU Scheme project initiation and registration
  • carbon project reporting requirements
  • facilitation of carbon market extension and training
  • carbon aggregation opportunities.
